Floating Magnets Paper Circuit Activity

Hey Science Family!

We’ve been busy sciencing (Evan’s word) and we’re ready for another Circuit Friday!

Today we’re going to use our magnets to create a floating world, if we can!

This is a free-build circuit activity so you’re project will definitely look a lot different than ours, but the same principles as all of our other paper circuits.

Find a spot for your battery, place some copper tape then attach the battery on top of it. Run that copper tape to the spot where you want your LED, situate the LED, then lead the copper tape back to the battery.

Let’s get creative together!

Friday: Up! (Paper Circuits)

Activity: Make a fun diorama scene.

Create an awesome diorama project as we combine paper circuits and levitating magnets! I have the idea to make a bright scene from Up! with balloons levitating and the night sky twinkling, but you have total creative control to make this project all your own!

Supplies:

  • LEDs (single color is easiest)
  • Scotch tape
  • Copper tape
  • CR2032 Battery
  • Paper clips
  • Thread
  • Paper
  • Cardboard box (like a cereal box)
  • Scissors
  • Markers

Next week will be our last week of daily science activities, but it’s going to be amazing because we’re creating all sorts of paper circuits! By the time you’re done you’ll be a circuit master!

It’s time to stock up on your paper circuit supplies so you can trial and error your way to some amazing results.
