Environmental Engineering: Oil Spill Cleanup

$3.00

Put your environmental engineering hat on as we clean up oil spills.

This is a lab booklet that is prepared for students to use as they learn about oil spills and oil clean up, discover new vocabulary, and have short and long term projects to work on. In the oil clean up challenge students will test how different materials soak up oil, as well as build oil booms to contain an environmental disaster.

Students have space for brainstorming solutions, keep track of supplies they use, and a formula to gauge the success of their contraption.

PDF format is easy to use. Documents that print half sheet or print on a letter duplexed to be able to fold into a student booklet. The download comes with a key that has interesting information and things to help students think about the problem, as well as a lesson plan to make sure you as a teacher are prepared!
